10 ears of fresh corn, shucked, cooked, and off the cob
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup milk
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp fresh thyme (or 1/4 tsp dried thyme)
4 ounces butter
2 tbsp flour
Instructions
In a large saucepan combine first nine
ingredients. Slowly bring it to a boil. Reduce to
a simmer. Allow to simmer for three minutes.
In a seperate pan, melt the butter until it begins
to pop, then stir the flour into the butter. Add
the butter and flour mixture to the simmering
corn. Stirring occasionally, simmer for three more
minutes.
Keep warm until served.
