OR omit the old fashioned and use 3 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl combine
butter, brown and white sugars and beat on medium
speed until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix
well.
In separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda,
cinnamon, and salt. Add flour mixture to butter
mixture and mix well. Stir in oats and if using,
stir in raisins.
Drop by rounded Tablespoons onto ungreased cookie
sheets, about 2 inches apart. Bake 8-10 minutes
or until light golden brown. Cool on cookie sheet
for one minute then move to cooling rack. Cool
completely. Store tightly covered.
