     Pickled Beets

Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds small beets
1 1/2 cups of vinegar
1/2 cup of water
1 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon pickling spice tied in cheese cloth
Pour over Beets and 1 or 2 whole cloves in jar.
Yield 2 or 3 pints.
