     Fresh Neapolitan Pizza Sauce

Ingredients
1 Large can San Marzano style whole tomatoes
1/2 tsp. Fine Salt (sea or table)
Small handful of fresh Basil leaves, roughly torn
1 tsp. Fresh Oregano leaves, roughly chopped (Optional)
 

Instructions
Empty tomatoes into a large mixing bowl. Squish all the tomatoes with your hands and then use a potato masher, pastry blender, or fork to further break up and crush the tomatoes into a semi- smooth sauce with some chunks of tasty tomatoes throughout. This will take some elbow grease for a few minutes. If you want a smoother, quicker sauce, use a blender or magic bullet.
Stir in salt, basil, and oregano (optional).
THAT’S IT! The sauce will cook with the pizza in the oven and despite its simplicity is AMAZING!
