     Seafood Paella with Pasta

2 lbs mahogan littleneck clams
2 lbs mussels
2 tsp salt
2 C clam broth
2 C cold water
1/2 lb spaghetti (plain or twisted)
4 Tbsp olive oil
2 bell peppers, cut
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 tsp saffron, mixed with 1 Tbsp boiling water
1/2 tsp paprika
1 lb FWF, cut
1 lb shrimp, shelled
1 C frozen peas
1/2 C pimento-stuffed green olives
3 Tbsp chopped parsely

Combine clams, mussels, and salt; set aside for 30 minutes. Combine clam broth and water, add clams and mussels, bring to biol and cook for 5 minutes; discard unopened. Strain out broth (reserve).
Heat oil, add peppers and cook for 10 minutes; add garlic, then saffron, paprika, and clam broth. Boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add spaghetti and cook until softened; add fish and shrimp, cover, and cook for 5 minutes on medium. Add shellfish, peas, and olives, and cook for 5 more minutes until seafood is done. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
