In 6 quart saucepan combine sugar, cocoa and salt; gradually add hot water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils.
Boil and stir two minutes. Add milk; heat to serving temperature, stirring occasionally. DO NOT BOIL. Remove from heat; add vanilla. Serve hot. twenty-two six ounce servings.
