     Rum cake

1 c pecans, chopped
1 18 1/2 oz yellow cake mix
1 3 3/4 oz pkg Jello instant vanilla pudding mix
4 eggs
1/2 c cold water
1/2 c oil
1/2 c dark rum
1/4 lb butter
1/4 c water
1 c sugar
1/2 c dark rum

Heat oven to 325F. Grease and flour 10 in tube pan. Sprinkle nuts oveer the bottom of the pan. Mix all cake ingredients together and pour batter over nuts. Bake 1 hour, then remove from pan (invert over serving plate) and cool.
Glaze- Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in water and sugar. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in rum.
Prick top of cake with a toothpick. Slowly drizzle glaze over top and sides of the cake, allowing glaze to absorb into top of cake.
