Mix 3 cups of flour
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt.
Combine 1 cup water
1/4 cup oil
1 egg.

Combine the above mixtures and mix in 1 tablespoon or 1 package of yeast. Let rise until double in size (about an hour). Punch down and divide into two equal portions. Place each into a greased bread pan. Allow to rise again and bake at 400 for 12 minutes before turning the heat down to 350 until done. Remove from pans and rub tops with a stick of butter. Cool on racks.
This recipe makes wonderful hot rolls, hamburger buns and even pizza crust. (Yield 2 loaves)
