     Mexican Casserole

Ingredients
2 pounds hamburger
1 can diced tomatoes and green chilies
1 can chopped green chilies
1 can cream of mushroom soup
12 corn tortillas
1/4 cup corn oil
1 package shredded cheddar cheese
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown hamburger and drain. Add tomatoes and chilies, green chilies, and mushroom soup over low heat until blended or for about 5 minutes.
Place oil in another frying pan over medium heat. Soften tortillas in oil. Place 6 softened tortillas in the bottom of a glass baking dish. Pour half of the meat mixture over the tortillas. Add half package of cheese over meat mixture. Place last 6 tortillas over cheese.
And the last part of the meat mixture and last of the cheese. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until cheese is fully melted. Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes. Cut and serve with optional salsa and sour cream.
