     Banana Bread

1/2 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
2 med. bananas, chopped or sliced (do not mash)

350 degrees preheat. Grease 9x5 inch loaf pan. In large bowl, stir together the melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Combine dry ingredients, mix into liquid until smooth. Fold in sour cream, walnuts and bananas. Spread evenly into prepared pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center of loaf comes out clean. Cool bread in loaf pan for 10 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
