     Old Fashioned Sour Cream Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 cup shortening or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
 
1/2 cup commercial sour cream
Instructions
Mix shortenig, sugar, egg and vanilla thoroughly. Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting. Blend dry ingredients, add to sugar mixture alternately with sour cream.
Roll in balls and flatten with glass dipped in sugar
