Mix 2 cups flour, butter, 1/2 cup sugar and cornstarch with a pastry blender or two forks until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Press mixture evenly into an ungreased jelly roll pan and bake at 350 for 18 minutes. Beat eggs, Brown sugar, remaining 1/4 cup flour, baking powder and vanilla at medium speed with mixer until blended then in walnuts and coconut. Spread on top of crust. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until set. Let cool in pan on wire rack, spread cream cheese topping on bars. 3 1/2 to 4 dozen.
Cream cheese topping
8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
16 ounce package powdered sugar
beat first three ingredients at medium speed with the mixer until creamy; gradually add sugar, beating until blended.
