     Winter Beef Stew

Ingredients
I lb cubed beef stew meat
1 can diced or stewed tomatoes
1/2 medium onion sliced
1 cup carrots (sliced in rounds)
2 tbl worcestershire sauce
4-6 potatoes (in bite sized pieces)
1 can whole kernel corn (drained)
1 can green beans (drained)
1 cup peas
 
2 cloves garlic diced or grated
1/4 cup flour
4=6 tbl olive oil
8 cups water
1/4 cup ketchup
Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions
Place meat and olive oil in a plastic bag and mix oil in well. Add flour and salt and pepper. Manipulate bag to coat meat with flour.
Heat remaining olive oil in a large stock pot. Dump meat and leftover flour in pot. Cook till browned.
Add water, tomatoes, onions, garlic and worcestershire sauce. Cook for about 45 minutes.
Add carrots, wait 15 minutes and add potatoes. Cook 15 minutes and add canned veggies and peas. Continue cooking until potatoes and carrots are tender. Check salt and seasoning. Add ketchup to taste. Serve in large bowls
Serving Suggestions
Serve with hot , buttered french bread chunks or corn-bread with Honey Butter (see recipe)
