Category   Desserts - Breads
Sub Category   None
Servings   18 slices

Ingredients
3 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 c. toasted wheat germ
1/4 c. wheat bran
2 tsp. baking powder
1-1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1-1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. honey

1/4 c. canola oil
3/4 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Instructions
In large mixing bowl combine flour, wheat germ, wheat bran, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Make a well in the center. In medium mixing bowl, combine buttermilk, honey, and oil.
Add all at once to the well in the center of the flour mixture; stir just until moistened. Fold in raisins and nuts.
Spread in greased loaf pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 50 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool thoroughly on wire rack. For a moister bread, wrap in plastic wrap and store overnight.
