Cut ribs into 3 chunks and place in a pot. Cover with water and bring to a boil; boil for 45 minutes.
Move ribs to a 9x13 baking dish and smother with the BBQ sauce. Cover with foil and refrigerate for several hours. Remove from fridge and bake, covered, at 250 degrees for three hours.
Remove foil and broil for 5-10 minutes for a crunchy coating.
