     Eggplant Parmesan II

2 eggplant, peeled & thinly sliced
1-1/3 eggs, beaten
2-2/3 cups Italian seasoned bread crumbs
4 cups spaghetti sauce, divided
2/3 package (16 oz package) mozzarella cheese, shredded & divided
1/3 cup grated parm cheese
1/4 tsp dried basil

Preheat oven to 350. Dip eggplant slices in egg, then in bread crumbs. Place in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 5 min on each side.
In a baking dish, spread spaghetti sauce to cover bottom. Place a layer of eggplant slices in the sauce. Spring with cheeses. Repeat with remaining ingredients, ending with the cheeses. Sprinkle basil on top.
Bake for 35 min or until golden brown. May take less time as cooking time is for 9 servings.
