In a heat-proof bowl over hot, not simmering, water (place over saucepan), heat the chocolate until almost completely melted (chunks OK). Remove from water, let stand, stirring occasionally, until the residual heat melts the chocolate completely.
Let chocolate cool until tepid. Lightly butter a baking sheet. Stir the marshmallows and peanuts into the tepid chocolate. (Stir a marshmallow into the chocolate as a test. If it melts, the chocolate is still too warm; cool longer. You want chunks).
If the chocolate stiffens, heat again over hot water until the chocolate is softened. Spread onto the prepared baking sheet. Refrigerate until firm,(4 hrs.? Less if you snack). Cut into pieces or press down w/ flat pan to make chocolate bars.
Store the Dark & (Bittersweet) Rocky Road at room temperature in an airtight container, like your stomach.
Wrap in tin foil with a scratch 'em lottery ticket inside, like in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, as fun present-ation.
