     Chicken Shahi Korma

Ingredients
1lb chicken, cut into bite sized chunks
1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
1 tsp tumeric
1.5-2tsp cumin
1tsp red chili powder
1in long piece fresh ginger, finely chopped
2-3 large garlic cloves, minced
1 c. plain yogurt
3 T. clrified butter
 
1/4 c. cashew pieces
raisins (optional)
1/2 tsp. garam masala
salt to taste
1/4 tsp. lemon juice

Instructions
Mix together in slow ooker- yogurt, tumeric, cumin, chili powder, mixed spices, lemon juice, salta, & raisins.
Heat butter & fry onion, garlic, & ginger until light brown; add to slow cooker.
Quickly sear chicken pieces and a few spoonfuls of sauce in a very hot skillet; add to slower cooker.
Slow cook for a few hours, or until chicken is tender. Add cashews 10 minutes before serving. Serve with basmati Rice
