Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain.

Alternate layers of macaroni and cheese in a greased 2 quart baking dish, beginning with macaroni and ending with cheese.

Melt butter in saucepan; stir in flour to make a smooth sauce. Blend in milk gradually. Heat to boiling stirring constantly until sauce thickens.
Add salt and pepper. Pour sauce over top of macaroni and cheese

Mix bread crumbs with melted butter. Sprinkle over macaroni and cheese Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes - make sure your bread crumbs are nice and crispy - everyone loves this... It's always gone after I make it.
