MIX brown sugar, paprika, seasoned salt, pepper and onion powder; rub mixture into ribs. Cut ribs into 4-rib sections. Place ribs in slow cooker. Pour 1/2 cup barbecue sauce over ribs. Place lid on slow cooker.
COOK on LOW for 5 to 6 hours or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours. Remove ribs using tongs or large spatula. Using ladle or large plastic spoon, remove and discard juices. Place ribs back into slow cooker liner; pour remaining barbecue sauce over ribs. Cook additional hour or until sauce is heated.
Add 8 oz. can crushed pineapple or pineapple tidbits, undrained, to the last addition of barbecue sauce before pouring over ribs.
