     Chocolate Chip Chiffon Cake

Ingredients
2 c. flour, sifted
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup vegetable oil
7 egg yolks (unbeaten)
3/4 c. cold water
2 tsp. vanilla
3 sq. frothed chocolate
1 c. egg whites (about 7)
 
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

Instructions
Blend flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in bowl. Make a well and add in order- Oil, egg yolks, water and vanilla. Beat with a spoon until smooth. Measure egg whites and cream of tartar into a large mixing bowl. Beat until whites form very stiff peaks. Don't underbeat
Pour egg yolk mixture gently over beaten whites. Fold gently with rubber spatula just until blended. Sprinkle over battered and fold in gently the grated chocolate. Pour into ungreased tube pan. Bake at 325 for 55 min then 10-15 min at 350. Invert on funnel or glass. Let stand until cold. Frost as desired
