     Lemon Nut Bread

1/2 cup Butter
1 cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1-1/4 cup sifted Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup Milk
1/2 cup chopped Nuts
1 T grated Lemon Rind
1 T Lemon Juice
1/3 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Lemon Juice
Lemon Rind

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and beat. Add sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with milk and lemon juice (ending and starting with dry ingredients). Fold in nuts and rind. Put in greased 9x5x3 loaf pan. Let stand 15 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
Glaze- Dissolve sugar in lemon juice. Add lemon rind for texture. Spoon over HOT baked loaf.
