     Pita Bread

Ingredients
3 cups flour
1 pkg yeast
1/8 cup warm watter
1 tsp salt
1 t. sugar
1 cup water
 

Instructions
Dissolve yeast and sugar in 1/8cup warm water. Sift flour and salt together. Add 1 cup water. Add yeast mixture to dough and knead well. Cover and let rise 2-3 hours.
Divide into 8-10 pieces. Shape each into a ball and roll to 1/4 inch thickness. Let rise 1 hour.
Bake 500degrees for 8 minutes on center rack of oven until top is lightly browned. Bread will puff up while baking and collapse as it cools.
