1 bag frozen, shredded hashbrowns
|
|
12 oz shredded cheddar cheese
|
|
1 small carton sour cream (1 cup)
|
|
1 onion, diced
|
|
1/2 stick butter, melted
|
|
1 can cream of chicken soup
|
|
2 cans green chiles (optional)
|
|
salt & pepper
|
|
crushed potato chips
|
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Instructions |
|
|
Mix sour cream, soup, onion, green chiles and butter and spread half in 13x9.
Top with half the potatoes and salt and pepper.

Spread another layer of the sour cream mixture and then 1/2 the cheese.
|
|
|
Repeat the layers- Potatoes, salt & pepper, sour cream mixture then cheese.
|
|
|
Bake at 350 for 30 min.
Spread chips on top and bake another 30 min. (can add bacon bits to top also)
