     Apricot Bread

2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 Tbsp. melted butter
2 Tbsp. hot water
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts)
1 cup chopped dried apricots (dust w/flour to prevent sticking)
1 cup sugar

Beat egg amd sugar together. Add melted butter and hot water. Sift flour, baking powder, soda, salt 2 times
Add flour mix and orange juice alternating liquid and dry until all are used. Dust some flour over the chopped apricots to prevent sticking
Pour mixture into buttered and floured loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
Butter all sides of loaf as soon as bread is removed from pan. Wrap while warm. Refrigerate 24 hours
