In a medium skillet, cook mushrooms over medium heat in oil.As soon as the mushrooms give up their liquid, place fillets over mushrooms in one layer and cover pan.
Turn the heat to low, just so the the liquid simmers. After 5 minutes, spoon the butter onto the haddock, cover, and simmer another 5 minutes.
Using a spatula, carefully remove the fish and mushrooms to plates. Garnish as desired.
