Make cake mix a directed on box.
Drain rhubarb and cover with 1 cup sugar.
Put rhubarb over cake mix.
Sprinkle cake mixture with 1 pkg favorite red gelatin, dry.
Bake in a 350-degree oven for 45 minutes.
Top with Cool Whip (optional)
