In a large bowl, measure cereal; set aside.
In a 1 qt. microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter uncovered on high for 1 min.; stir. Microwave 30 sec. longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla.
Pour chocolate mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2 gallon plastic storage bag. Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated.
Spread on wax paper until cooled. Store in airtight container.
