Thinly slice onions, julienne style. Peel and dice apple.
Saute onion in olive oil over medium-high heat until translucent and slightly golden in color. Add apple and cook over low heat until apple is fork tender, but still slightly firm. Stir often.
Last 5 minutes of cooking add garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper and stir.
Allow to cool. Refrigerate. Serve over simple cream cheese or alone with gourmet crackers.
