     Lemon Glazed Nut Bread

2/3 c. sugar
1/2 c unsalted butter, softened
2 eggs
1/4 c lemon juice
1 tbsp grated lemon peel
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 c milk
1 c chopped peacans
1/2 c powdered sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a lg mixer bowl, combine sugar and butter. Beat at med speed, scraping bowl often, until light and fluffy(1-2 mins). Add eggs, one at a time, beating 2 min after each addition. Add lemon juice and peel; continue beating until well mixed.
In a small bowl stir together flour, baking powder and salt. add alternately with milk to butter mixture. Continue beating, scraping bowl often, until smooth (1-2 mins). By hand, stir in pecans. Pour into 3 greased 5 1/2x 3 in (mini) loaf pans.
Bake for 40-45 mins or ntil wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Meanwhile in a small bowl, stir together glaze ingredients. Poke holes in top of warm bread with a wooden pick; drizzle glaze evenly over the top of breads. Let stand for 10 mins.
