      Cranberry Sauce

1 package (12 ozs) fresh cranberries
3/4 to 1 cup sugar (1 cup is to sweet using OJ)
1 cup orange juice or water (I prefer OJ) or
1 cup fresh squeezed OJ using the pulp and 1 T zest
1 cinnamon stick (optional)

Place all ingredients in small sauce pan. Bring to boil and turn down heat to simmer for about 10 minutes or until you have the consistancy in the berries you want. Take off eye and allow to cool. Remove the cinnamon stick and throw in garbage. Stir sauce and place in refrigerator for two weeks or more. If sauce is not tart enough for you squeeze a little fresh lemon juice in finished sauce.
