     Beef Bourguignon

Ingredients
1 can french onion soup
1 can beef consumme
1 20 oz. can V8 juice
1 cup red wine (pinot noir or burgundy or any good wine)
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 Tbsp. dried oregano
2 lbs. stew meat, cubed
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
 

Instructions
Combine all liquids and bring to a boil in a large saucepan with a cover. Add spices, meat and sugar
Return to a boil and summer with a cover on part way fro 2- 2.5 hours, until meat is tender
Thicken broth by combining half of teh gravy with the 2 or 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
Pour this mixture back into the pot, stirring until bubbly. Serve with broad egg noodles, or rice.
Serving Suggestions
Red wine, egg noodles and asparagus
