So here is how I make the ras-
1 can of Evaporated Milk (Carnation brand)
Same quantity (1 can) of Half and Half
1 teaspoon of rose water
Mix all of the above in the serving container.
I have only made this using the canned rasgullas - so I use the syrup from the rasgulla can to sweeten the ras (use just a little, taste it frequently to decide how much more to add)
Squeeze out the ras from the rasgullas and put them in the sweetened ras. Basically, you want the rasgullas to soak up the ras.
Put a good amount of ground elaichi and ground pistachios. I also add saffron (if I have it).
