Heat oven to 375°F. Line baking dish with foil and set aside.
Combine pie filling, dried fruit, and ginger in bowl. Divide evenly into 6 custard cups. Place filled custard cups on prepared baking sheet and set aside.
Unroll piecrust, cut into 12 stars with cookie cutter. Brush each star with milk, press into sugar. Place stars on a cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Set aside
Bake mini pies on center oven rack for 25 minutes. Top each mini pie with 2 baked stars and serve
