     Caramel Pound Cake

1 box of brown sugar
1 cup of granulated sugar
3 cups of flour
1/2 cup of butter
1/2 cup of shortening
5 eggs
1 cup of milk
1 cup nuts
1 stick of butter
1/4 Cup of half and half
1 cup of brown sugar
Box of powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla

Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Shift flour and baking soda together. Add alternating with milk. Add flour and nuts. Bake at 350.
Frosting Directions In a skillet put butter, half and half, salt and brown sugar- Bring to boil. Remove from heat to mixing bowl. Beat adding confectionery sugar and vanilla gradually. If too stiff to spread, add warm milk.
