     Channa Masala with ground masala

Ingredients
2 tbsp chilly powder for grinding
3/4 tbsp jeera powder for grinding
1/4 tsp turmeric powder for grinding
1/2 onion for grinding
3 to 4 garlic cloves for grinding
little tamrind or 2 tomatoes for grinding
Mustard seeds for seasoning
Curry leaves for seasoning
Garlic for seasoning
 
oil for seasoning
scraped coconut (fresh or frozen)

Instructions
Soak channa overnight. Boil in the cooker for one whistle. When the cooker is cooled down. Drain the channa and run cold water over the channa in a colander
Grind the masala. In a large pot, heat some oil and season all the ingredients meant for seasoning.
Fry the ground masala
Add coconut and boiled channa
Serving Suggestions
Goes well with mutton curry
