     Mangalore Shrimp Curry

Ingredients
1 pound or .5 kg shrimp - cleaned and deveined
Half coconut grated. Can substitute with coconut milk
12 long red kashmiri chillies
6 round red chillies. If the above long chillies are not available use 8 round red chillies
2 tbspns Coriander seeds
1 tsp jeera
tamarind - marble sized
4 - methi seeds
.5 tsp turmeric
 
2 onions - chopped fine
4 garlic cloves

Instructions
Roast chillies,coriander,jeera,methi seperately and grind with coconut, turmeric, garlic and tamarind with water until fine.
Let the paste boil with the required qty of water.
Add salt,1onion chopped fine and prawns and cook.
Lastly season with the other onion chopped fine in coconut oil.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with steamed rice
