Mix all ingredients except walnuts togher in saucepan. Cook, stirring, to a rolling boil, then cook, stirring, 3 minutes more. Remove from heat; cool 15 minutes without stirring. Beat till thick, creamy and light in color.
Add walnuts. Turn onto buttered shallow pan. Top with plump walnut halves. Cool; cut into squares.
