Preheat oven to 375 F.
Combine Flour, baking soda & salt in bowl. Set aside. Beat margarine, shortening, granulated sugar, brown sugar & vanilla extract in large bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets,lined w/ tin foil..
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until just beginning to brown on top. Don’t over bake!
Makes about 2 dozen. Dough freezes very well.
