1 tsp. olive oil
|

1 large onion, chopped
|

3 cloves garlic, minced
|
|
1/2 c. Cabernet Sauvingnon
|

28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
|

2 Tbsp. fresh flat leaf parsley, chopped
|
|
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
|
|
1/2 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
|

Instructions |
|
|
Heat oil in a large skillet. Add onion and saute
over medium heat until tender, about five minutes.
|
|
|
Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
Increase heat to high and add wine to de-glaze
skillet. Allow almost all the liquid to evaporate.
|
|
|
Add the tomatoes, parsley, salt and pepper then
reduce heat to low and allow sauce to simmer for 30
minutes.
