     24 HOUR SALAD

1/4 cup onions, chopped
1/4 cup celery, chopped
1 sm. head lettuce, pulled apart in small pieces
1 - 6 oz. can water chestnuts, sliced
1 pkg. frozen peas,thawed, not cooked
2 cups mayonnaise
3 tsp. sugar
3 Tbs. parmesan cheese
3 eggs, chopped
bacon bits.

Mix onions, celery, and lettuce together Spread on bottom of large bowl
Layer in following order- water chestnuts peas mayonnaise sprinkle with sugar and cheese
Refrigerate for 12-14 hours.
Just before serving, spread eggs and bacon bits on top.
