Heat in large saucepan til warm cream, remove from heat and add sugar, soda, salt, yeast. Stir until dissolved.
Add egg, shortening, flour. Mix well.
Turn dough onto floured surface. Fold over several times until smooth. Roll out into rectangle. Spread on butter and sprinkle half with brown sugar and cinnamon. Fold over, cut, and twist.
Let raise 1 hour and brake at 375 for 10 min. Glaze with white frosting.
