In a large mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in molasses. Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnimon and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk beating well after each addition. Drop by heaping tablespoonfulls 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheet. Arrange 3 raisins on each cookie. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until set. Remove to wire rack to cool.
