First make cookie mix-
In very large bowl, combine butter, salt and baking powder. Blend well with mixer.
Lightly spoon and level flour in measuring cup. Do NOT scoop or sift flour. Add flour to butter mix and blend until fine crumbs form (Scrape sides often). Or use manual pastry blender.
Store tightly covered in frig up to 4 weeks.
Yield- 8 cups mix

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl, combine all ingredients except Kisses and sugar, blend until smooth

Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll balls in sugar; place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9-12 minutes until light golden brown.

|
Remove from oven and immediately top each with a Hershey Kiss, pressing down firmly so cookie cracks around edges.
Chocolate will melt in place so allow time for it to cool completely and reharden.
Yield- 4 dozen cookies
Can be doubled or more.
