In a mixing bowl, cream butter and 2 cups sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla; mix well. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Spoon a third of the batter into a greased and floured bundt pan. Combine the cinnamon, nuts, and remaining sugar; sprinkle a third over batter. Repeat layers twice. Bake at 350 degrees for 65-70 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to wire rack.
