In medium pot drain plum tomato juice from can into pot. Blend tomatoes with hand mixer. Add tomatoes to pot, onions, salt and pepper and basil. Once boiling turn down to lower heat to simmer. In a bowl add beef, pork, cheese, bread crumbs, eggs and salt to taste. Preheat oven to 350F. Mix mixture and make 1 1/2 inch meatballs and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.
