1 large bag of frozen green beans, cut and thawed (may need to double this)
2 T. butter
1/2 c chopped onion
2 c. sliced mushrooms
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. heavy cream
1 c. cheddar cheese
1 can fried onion rings
Instructions
In a skillet,melt butter and cook onions for 2 minutes. Add mushrooms and cook until golden. Stir in soup and cream. Bring to a simmer. Stir in the cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in green beans and toss to coat.
Transfer to a buttered casserole. Top with fried onions and bake for 30 minutes or until bubly.
