Cook noodles in boiling water to desired tenderness.
Rinse with cold water, drain well. Meanwhile,
preheat oven to 350 F. Heat 5 tablespoons butter in
medium saucepan over medium heat until melted.
Stir in flour until smooth. Add milk, cook and stir
until thickened.
Add salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, cook 2
minutes, stirring constantly. Add cheese, stir until
smooth. Add noodles, toss gently.
Pour into buttered 2 quart baking dish. Top with
tomato slices. Toss together melted butter and bread
crumbs, sprinkle over tomatoes. Bake 25 to 30
minutes. Serve immediately.
