Saute onion in veg oil until soft. Mix in tomato sauce, preserves, sugar, worcestershire sauce, mustard and red pepper flakes. Bring to boil. Reduce to med-low and simmer until sauce thick, about 15 minutes. Add meatballs and simmer 5-10 minutes.
