In large mixing bowl, cream margaring or butter. Add sugars, beaten eggs, vanilla and nuts. In separate bowl (or on waxed paper), sift flour, salt. and baking powder. Add to mixture. Mix well.
Divide dough into two rolls and wrap in waxed paper. Chill in refrigerator overnight, or freeze until ready to bake.
Remove from refrigerator (or freezer), slice thin, and place on baking sheet. Bake in 400 degree oven for about 8 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
